It’s hard to say what the purpose of this project is. I just started with a bare bones ZX81 board and just kept building. I guess if these is any goal it would be:
“Starting with a real ZX81 motherboard, how much can I keep
adding to it, modifying it, and improving on it, without breaking it.”
...not much of a philosophy really, but it’s still fun. I actually find the computer grows with a life of it’s own with no concern to logic. If I see something that looks interesting, I try to add it into the mix. I keep wanting to mount everything in a nice case, but every time I try, it just keeps getting bigger.
